    We are pleased to announce that the following students have earned national recognition in the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards of 2017.  Haley Ference and Lauren Suppo earned a total of 3 national recognitions for their works of art. Haley won a Silver Medal for her drawing "Snare" and an American Visions Medal for her painting "A Consultation With Myself".  Lauren Suppo won a Gold Medal for her painting "4:52". These students have been identified by panels of creative professionals as the most talented young artists and writers in the nation.  This year, more than 330,000 works of art and writing were submitted.  Less than 1% were recognized at the national level.  These students have been invited to attend a ceremony at the world-famous Carnegie Hall in NYC on Thursday, June 8.

  • Maria Lengwin, senior at Ringgold High School, has been named as a finalist by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation in the National Merit Scholarship Program. Maria is one of 15,000 high school seniors to earn this accomplishment. She will now have an opportunity to continue in the program and compete for some 7,500 National Merit Scholarships being offered this spring. Congratulations, Maria!

    Scholastic is an award and scholarship opportunity for young artists and writers of Washington, Fayette, and Greene Counties. Students whose work is selected has a chance to win awards and scholarship as well as having their artwork hung at the Gallery at Cal U and a gallery in Waynesburg or have their writings published.  Students who win Gold will have their artwork submitted to the National level and will be given a chance to win scholarships.

  • dog The Ringgold School District will be conducting random canine searches of the Ringgold High School and Ringgold Middle School during the school year. All property brought to the school buildings or grounds will be subject to this dog sniff/search.
